Lesson Descriptions:
Group Lessons: All swim levels are welcome in this class, meaning siblings (of different swim levels) can swim together as we customise lesson plans for each swimmer. If you register partway through the session, you will be pro-rated for all missed lessons between the sessions start date and your start date.
Parent & Tot Lessons: This class requires one parent's participation in the water. If you register partway through the session, you will be pro-rated for all missed lessons between the session start date and your start date.

As of When is Registration Effective?
Once you register, your registration is effective immediately, meaning you would attend the first lesson that occurs after the start date of the session (listed above).
If you register after the session has already started, your first lesson will be on the next occurrence of the day for which you registered. For example, if it is Tuesday, and you registered for a Monday class, your first lesson would be this upcoming Monday.
Safety Precaution
As a safety precaution please note that before and after your lesson, your child's safety is your responsibility. Please keep your children within arm's reach as the pool is a dangerous place for unsupervised children. Outside of your lesson time, our coaches do not assume responsibility for your child as they may not be in the pool area or may be preoccupied with other classes. This is especially important for our Walnut Grove and Abbotsford schools as there are no safety doors between the change room and the pool area.
Swim Fins Admin Fee
Please note there will be a $30, per family, non-refundable administration/insurance fee added on when your credit card is charged.
Changing Class Times
In the event that you need to change your class time outside of the designated priority registration period, a $25 fee per family, per switch will apply.
Additional Students
Swim Fins reserves the right to add in additional students, without consent (up to a maximum class size of 5 swimmers) as this is how we can maximize our program excellence. If you prefer Swim Fins not add in additional students to your class please contact us to discuss how to rent out the coach and pool in its entirety. Please note that Swim Fins operates its programs through customized lesson plans for each student. This means that if there are additional students added to a class, Swim Fins ensures that each student is working on his/her own plan and his/her lesson quality or safety will never be compromised because of additional students, regardless of their swim level or age. If your class does not meet the minimum number of students for the lesson to run, we will contact you to discuss options of decreasing the lesson duration or paying an additional fee.
Declined Credit Cards
If a credit card declines and the issue is not corrected within 48 hours, a $10 re-charge fee will be applied to the next attempted payment. Please make sure your credit card information is up to date by logging into your parent portal.
One Parent per Class on the Pool Deck
One parent from each class will be invited to sit on the pool deck during lessons at the discretion of each Swim Fins coach. If you would like to be the one parent, please make yourself available during your child’s class time. Swim Fins coaches reserve the right to refuse parent entry on a case-by-case basis. Please be patient.
Report Cards
In the event that you are unable to collect your report card on the last day of lessons and require this documentation, reach out and we will send you your report card for a $25 admin fee.
Media
I agree that Swim Fins and its members may photograph, film and/or otherwise reproduce my (or my child's) likeness and/or voice in the course of my enrolment and participation in programs and events conducted or sponsored by Swim Fins. I acknowledge and agree that Swim Fins or its designate will own all worldwide right, title and interest in and to the Reproductions.
Emails & texts
You are signing up to receive email communications from Swim Fins Swim School., such as information about the session, upcoming sessions, statements, and more. You may opt-out at any time.
I agree to be contacted by Swim Fins via email and/or text message for the purpose of lesson cancellations and other important information pertaining to my swimming lessons.
Waiver of Liability

Session Cancellation Policies (for sessions lasting 7-18 lessons)
You may cancel the remainder of a session for a credit to your Swim Fins account for future lessons with us (minus the non-refundable admin/insurance fee). Credits can be used by anyone in your family and do not expire. Please note that a credit will not be provided for any lessons that have already been attended, and a credit will only be applied for the remaining lessons in the session that you have cancelled. To avoid the need to cancel your session, please check your calendar carefully and plan to attend the lessons you sign up for, or have someone bring your child to class on your behalf if you are unable to bring them. Make-up classes are not available as they overload our other lessons and the addition of a new child into a current class setting is disrupting and distracting to the other children in the class.
Cancellation Policy for Medical Illness
For the well-being of every child and coach, we ask that you keep your child at home should she/he display any of the following symptoms: temperature above normal, excessive coughing, sinus or nasal infection, diarrhea and/or vomiting (within the previous 24 hours). If a swimmer can not attend their lesson because they are sick we will credit your account for ONE missed lesson per session (8-17 lessons). All severe extended medical absences (2 lessons or more due to broken bones, etc.) are subject to a $25 admin fee.
All requests for Medical Cancellations must be:
Supported by a Doctor's note.
Made at least 24 hours before the class.
Made in writing and include swim school location and day and time of class.
There will be no cancellations accepted for the last class of each session.
The Credited Amount:
Will be credited to your Swim Fins account.
Can be used towards Swim Fins programs or merchandise.
Cannot be redeemed for cash.
To notify Swim Fins of absenteeism:
If you are in a private lesson please email us at info@swimfins.ca and you can earn a credit to your Swim Fins account for 20% of that lesson's cost.
If you are in a group lesson, as we know you are busy, we do not require you to contact us.
If you have a doctor's note for a missed lesson due to medical illness please email this to info@swimfins.ca.
Cancellation for Non-Medical Reasons:
Unfortunately, we have a zero cancellation policy: there will be no refunds or make-up classes for missed sessions - we do apologize for any inconvenience as we have to pay coaches and pool rental regardless if you are there or not. Please book all other activities around your commitment to the swimming program.
Swim Fins retains the right to refuse business.
Perpetual Registration Policy (only in effect during the perpetual registration period for loyal clients)
You agree to allow Swim Fins Swim School to re-register all indicated swimmers who are currently enrolled in the Fall 2024 Session (Aug 26-Dec 23) into the exact same lesson day, time, and location for the Winter 2025 Session (January 2-April 13: 15 weeks) ("Winter").
You will be billed for the total tuition for Winter on or around Monday, November 4, 2024 in accordance with the fees listed below. The total tuition cost that you are agreeing to is dependent on the day of the week on which your current lesson falls, as well as the duration. The tuitions for Winter, including admin fee and GST, are as follows:
