We may offer private (1 on 1) lessons on a case by case basis. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson.

For children 4mo - 3yr 11mo: We may offer private lessons for this age group. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson. We also offer small Parent & Tot group swimming lessons Mondays-Fridays from 8am-3pm, whereby one parent per child comes into the pool for the lesson (See above for more details).

For children 4 - 14yrs: We may offer private lessons for this age group. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson. We also offer small group lessons (maximum 5 students). That being said, click here to see why our group lessons work so well.

4. How often are swimming classes?

During the Winter Session, students swim 1-2 times weekly (at the same time every week) for 15 weeks. Lessons are usually 40 minutes.

5. What if I want to start late?

If you’re starting lessons later than our start date, we will pro-rate the cost of lessons based on the number of lessons you will be attending, before we charge your credit card.

6. How often should I practice for the best results?

We encourage participants to swim 2x weekly whenever possible for the full session. We update our schedule often with new openings. Check back often.

7. What if my child is not 4 years or older?

If your child is not 4 years or older (or is not able to participate in group lessons due to separation anxiety, etc.) we suggest registering into our Parent & Tot spots available Monday to Friday 8am-3pm.

8. WILL THE LESSONS BE WITH OTHER STUDENTS AT THE SAME LEVEL?

Our classes are organized by times rather than swim skill level therefore there may be multiple levels in a class.  That being said the coach will customize lesson plans for each swimmer. Best to register your children in the same class.

9. WHEN WILL I GET A CONFIRMATION OF MY REGISTRATION?

The schedule is subject to change and we will confirm your class time and process your payment within 1-3 business day after you registered.

10. I HAVE A CREDIT ON MY FILE, CAN I USE IT?

If you have a credit on file, the credit will automatically be applied to your total tuition fees before your credit card is charged.

11. Do the fees on your website include GST?

Tuition fees do not include GST. Please expect an additional 5% added when we charge your credit card.

12. Can my child and i both learn to swim within the same class?

Yes, if you are interested in a Family Lesson (whereby you and your child swim in the same class) three people minimum are needed for a Family Lesson from Monday to Friday between 8am-3pm, or you can pay to rent the entire pool.

13. My child is special needs, can you accommodate his or her needs?

Yes, we just require that your child is capable of safely participating in group lessons without a parent. If your child requires a parent, we can explore a Parent & Tot lesson for you.

14. WHAT DOES PRIORITY REGISTRATION MEAN?

All loyal (current & past) clients are given the opportunity to register for lessons during a Priority Registration period. This means that, as a loyal client, you get to register into lessons before it opens to the public.

15. How much do lessons cost?

The financial investment for lessons vary depending on the lesson duration (25 mins, 40 mins or 55 mins). Please note the financial investment up front with Swim Fins may be more than other programs however we do what other programs do in 3-4 years in 1 year so in the end you will have spent the same amount with them in 4 years that you would have spent with us in 1 year and have wasted a lot of time. Summary is, we will save you time (the most precious commodity) and of course money!

referral PROGRAM: GIVE $50, GET $50

Help us Spread the Word about the Swim Fins Swim School experience and both of you will benefit! For each new swimmer you refer, they'll get $50 off their first session and you'll earn a $50 credit towards your next session. It's a win-win for everyone. Learn more.
