  • At Swim Fins Swim School we have a team of  highly trained, enthusiastic and innovative Coaches. These incredible Coaches create a thriving and enjoyable learning environment  for our students and families! 

  • Our Coaches are the best of the best and come to Swim Fins with experience and full certifications before they begin their Swim Fins program training!

  • All Swim Fins Coaches receive extensive training to enable them to succeed in their role. This extensive training involves 20-30 hours with the owner and with a senior coach to learn our unique learn-to-swim program and Swim Fins high teaching standards.  

  • Observations, mentorship and additional training are provided to Coaches to ensure their ongoing professional development.

  • Coaches create customized lesson plans for each student to ensure they are always striving to reach new goals. These lesson plans focus on the individual students weakness' and are overseen by the owner.

Coach Aaradh

Coach Aaradh is a student at Grandview Heights Secondary and has aspirations to become a Pediatric Doctor in the future! Aaradh, in his spare time, volunteers at  Community Services and also volunteers at his school. Aaradh is very focused on personal development and we are glad to have him on board!

Coach aaron k

Coach Aaron is a High School student who is hoping to go on and study Engineering at University. Aaron has experience teaching taekwondo classes and loves teaching people new skills. We are so happy to have Aaron as part of our Swim Fins family.

Coach Addison is a high school student who volunteers and babysits in her spare time! Coach Addison has over 10 years of swimming experience and loves working with children. Addison can't wait to begin teaching her students, we are very lucky to have her as part of our Swim Fins family!

Coach Adrian is a high school student who aspires to be a pilot some day! We have heard amazing things already from Adrian’s mentor, and we can’t wait to watch him grow throughout his time as a Swim Fins coach!

COACH ADITYA

Coach Aditya loves to help others and hopes to become a Physiotherapist in the future. He has a very caring nature and volunteers coaching for YMCA. He is excited to share his in-depth knowledge of water safety and swimming with all his students at Swim Fins.

Coach Alyssa

Coach Alyssa loves to work with children and help them learn and grow. She has 2 younger siblings, has worked as a babysitter for multiple years as well as helped out in Sunday school at her church. Alyssa appreciates swimming so much that she has assisted kids in swimming lessons at her local pool and volunteered her time at day camps.

Coach Amorey is a past student of Swim Fins who is back to share all her knowledge with her students. She has been a volunteer swim coach and a junior coach for the past 3 years. Amorey loves to swim and is excited to continue to share her passion with all her students at Swim Fins.

Coach Angelina is currently an honor roll high school student, who hopes to study marketing and design at University! Angelina can’t wait to meet all her students and hopes to continue to deliver her love of swimming with students throughout her studies.

Coach Anjali

Coach Anjali is currently a student in University, studying at Simon Fraser University in Arts and Social Sciences is hopeful to further her studies and in turn become a Clinical Psychologist. She looks forward to each and everyone of her classes to share her passion of swimming with her students! Anjali hopes to continue to deliver her love of swimming with students throughout her studies.

Coach Anwar has just completed his first year of university studying Computer Science and Business! Anwar loves helping his family and cannot wait to meet all his students!

Coach Armaan

Coach Armaan who has recently graduated High School has aspirations to become a Chef. Armaan has volunteered at his local church over the years and loves to give back to his community and hopes to work with us at Swim Fins for many years to come.

Coach Arwen

Coach Arwen is a High School Student who is multilingual, and has spent many hours volunteering teaching swimming and even coaching the Abbotsford Whalers swim team. Arwen, who aims to study in University after High School, plans to work with us for the foreseeable future!

Coach Belem

Coach Belem is an aspiring business owner studying computer programming at university. Belem has volunteered for a variety of children's programs over the past 7 years and is eager to serve as a positive role model for her students!

Coach Bethany

Coach Bethany has previously worked as a lifeguard at a Camp last summer and so has plenty of knowledge of water safety and implements that knowledge to each and every one of her classes getting the best out of our students!

Coach Cayden

Coach Cayden is a student in High School who hopes to go to University studying either in the field of science or possibly even becoming a paramedic! Cayden is eager to start with the team and share and improve his knowledge of water safety with our students!

Coach Devneet

Coach Devneet is pursuing her dreams of becoming a swim instructor and lifeguard. She is currently obtaining a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from UBC and aspires to attend medical school to specialize in dermatology. She has volunteered for multiple years in Delta to teach people with disabilities how to figure skate and swim. She is extremely passionate about swimming, exercise, and teaching.

Coach Elli is super passionate about swimming and can’t wait to pass on her amazing skills to her students! Elli plays volleyball for her school and also her local team. Coach Elli hopes to teach at Swim Fins through her high school and university years and we cannot wait to watch her grow as a coach!

Coach Emma

Coach Emma studied Developmental and Child Psychology at the University of Fraser Valley. She is currently working as an Education Assistant within the Abbotsford School District. Emma has a passion for education and loves working with children, which is why she continues to teach swimming lessons alongside her full-time career. She has plans to return to school in the future to complete a master’s degree.

Coach Eshaan is a high school student, he is very excited to work with the students and watch them thrive in the water. He knows the importance of water safety and is eager to pass all his knowledge on to his students.

Coach Eric Ou

Coach Eric is currently in high school and will be going to UBC soon to discover more of his talents and passions. He is in the air cadets as well and is in charge of instructing his own squadron of level 2’s. On top of that he volunteers with his school every month performing for seniors. He was a competitive swimmer for most of his life leading him to his passions of teaching people how to swim.

Coach Griffin

Coach Griffin hopes to one day study horticulture or business, until then Griffin attends his local High School. Griffin, who plans on going to University, wants to continue to work with us for many years to come.

Coach Gurshaan is a university student studying to become a Mechatronics Engineer! Coach Gurshaan has a years experience teaching children math, and has previous experience as a swim coach. Gurshaan is a valued addition to our Swim Fins family!

Coach Harveen is a high school student who previously worked as a caregiver! Coach Harveen is passionate about helping people and is excited to turn her students into the best swimmers.

coach isabella

Coach Isabella teaches private piano lessons in her spare time, and also has a passion for Irish dance. Isabella can’t wait to meet all her students and create special bonds with each of them. We are very lucky to have Isabella as part of our team.

Coach jace

Coach Jace volunteers teaching kids and adults with disabilities how to swim. Jace has a passion for helping people and hopes to study pediatric medicine. Jace knows how to handle and care for kids and how to get the best out of them. We are lucky to have him on the Swim Fins team.

Coach Jashan is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering! Coach Jashan has previously volunteered at his local pool teaching parent and tot lessons. We’re sure he will take to his new classes like a fish to water ;)

Coach Jaya is a High School student and hopes to graduate and go on to study teaching. Jaya loves working with kids and creating a special bond between teacher and student. We are lucky to have her on the Swim Fins team.

Coach Julia is a high school student who hopes to go on to university after she graduates. Julia has volunteered with kids as a reading buddy. Julia also enjoys taking part in musical theater in her spare time. We are very lucky tp have Julia as part of the team.

coach Khushi

Coach Khushi is a High School student who hopes to one day be a Dentist. Khushi’s caring nature really shines through when teaching her students. Khushi volunteers at her school and all these skills have helped guide her lessons in providing the best classes possible! We are so lucky to have her as part of the Swim Fins team.

coach kiyori

Coach Kiyori has followed in her sister Miya’s footsteps and became a part of the Swim Fins family! We can’t wait for Coach Kiyori to show her students the best swimming lessons. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team!

Coach Leo has a passion for coaching and is very eager to pass his swim knowledge and experience on to his students. Leo is currently attending High School, and  wants to continue to work with Swim Fins for many years to come.

Coach Manav is very active in his community. He is involved in babysitting, volunteering at his local library and is also a newspaper carrier. Coach Manav loves kids and being in the water, so Swim Fins was the right fit for him! We are so lucky to have Coach Manav as part of our Swim Fins family!

coach mehar

Coach Mehar is passionate about water safety and teaching kids how to swim and it is a vital life skill for everyone. Mehar aims to strive in the Business and Financial sector. He plans to study in UBC and continue his passion for teaching swimming while studying!

Coach Miya

Coach Miya has just finished high school. She finds joy babysitting, teaching, and volunteering at events like soccer camps. She hopes to one day go to law school after finishing her first degree. She loves teaching kids how to swim and instilling life lessons.

COACH MOUSSA

Coach Moussa is currently studying at Simon Fraser University. In the future he would like to go on to become an Aerospace Engineer. He has generously volunteered with other schools and events during his spare time.

Coach Mohkam previously worked at a summer camp teaching kids to swim all summer long! We are so excited to have Mohkam as part of the team, and share all his water safety knowledge with his students!

Coach Nilly has over 8 years experience as a swim coach. Nilly also has a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering. She is dedicated to water safety and ensuring students get the best lessons possible! We are absolutely thrilled to have Nilly as part of the Swim Fins family.

Coach Nikhil is a high school student who has experience teaching taekwondo. Coach Nikhil hopes to study medicine after he graduates high school. Coach Nikhil is an excellent addition to our family and he cannot wait to meet all his students!

Coach Parvaan is a high school student who one day hopes to work as a physiotherapist or a lawyer. Parveen cares about people and wants to help his students get the most out of their classes.

Coach Porscha is a high school student with a passion for swimming! Her love for kids combined with her amazing swimming skills makes her the perfect coach for Swim Fins! We are so excited for her to be a part of our team!

Coach Queenie is a college student working towards a bachelors degree in Linguistics! Queenie is a piano teacher who works with young beginners and does some volunteer work at preschools in her spare time. Coach Queenie can’t wait to show off her amazing teaching skills in her classes!

Coach Rian is a high school student who is hoping to further his studies at UBC after graduating. Rian is a great addition to our team and we can’t wait for him to give his students the best lessons!

coach Sakya

Coach Sakya aspires to be a pediatrician after University! Coach Sakya loves working with kids and is excited to share her knowledge with her Swim Fins students! We are very lucky to have her!

coach sartaj

Coach Sartaj is in High School who is considering a potential career in Respiratory Therapy! We’re sure the First Aid certification he has recently obtained while doing his Lifesaving and Swim Teaching Certs will be the first stepping stone. He is a great addition to our team!

coach soriyah

Coach Soryiah is so excited to start teaching her students and giving them the best lessons! She is a high school student and is looking forward to putting her leadership skills to action. We are so lucky to have her as part of the Swim Fins family.

Coach Sophia is a High School student who aspires to study Kinesiology and become a professor! Coach Sophia referees for BC Soccer on the weekends for the past 3 years! We are so lucky to have Sophia as part of our team.

coach stephanie

Coach Stephanie is attending her first year of university this coming Fall and is hoping to study science! Coach Stephanie volunteers in her spare time and is passionate about swimming and educating her students. We are so happy to have Stephanie as part of our team!

coach tasha

Coach Tasha has previous experience as a swim coach and loves teaching kids. She can’t wait to work closely with her students, passing on her swimming and water safety knowledge. We’re so excited to have her as part of our team!

Coach Tristan has big hopes for the future as he sees himself in the future studying medicine and then some… Become a Neurosurgeon! Tristan is a student who has a passion for swimming and swims competitively! He now passes his keen love of the water onto his students here at Swim Fins.

Coach Vanessa is a High School student with aspirations to study science in the University of British Columbia. Vanessa hopes to continue to deliver the best classes to her students for the duration of her studies.

Coach YSA

Coach Ysa is a High School student who hopes to work in the film industry after her studies are complete! Ysa volunteers at summer camps and is an aspiring lifeguard. Coach Ysa can’t wait to put her water safety skills to use with all her students!

coach Aaron

Coach Aaron wants to one day be a successful leader in his community and is excited to share his knowledge and love of swimming with his students. Aaaron, who has many hours experience in volunteering, is a motivated coach who knows how to get the best out of his classes!

COach Adhan

Coach Adhan has big hopes for the future as he hopes to study Engineering, specializing in either mechanical or software engineering. Adhan is in High School and will continue to teach children how to swim with Swim Fins while studying.

Coach Alana is excited to share all her swimming knowledge with the students and has been a great addition to the team! In her spare time Alana works as a tutor helping other kids in her school. Alana hopes to one day get into the medical field. Her nurturing ways reflect in her classes towards her students.

Coach Alice

Coach Alice is currently studying at Langara College. She is looking to continue her education and acheive her Bachelor’s degree in Education. She is an avid teacher as she also works as a tutor and a learning buddy for her local school kids. She likes to volunteer wherever possible for school events.

Coach Aly is heading into his first year of University. He has been a coach for his local community centre and has been reffing for school sporting events over the past 3 years! Coach Aly thinks our Swim to Survive training is the most important aspect of learning to swim, and we couldn't agree more!

Coach Ameet

Coach Ameet is always striving for more as her future aspiration is to continue teaching and become a lifeguard as well as being a swimming instructor. She wants to become a solid and inspiring instructor to people of all ages. She loves working with people, being in the water, and has always been passionate about education.

Coach amy

Coach Amy is a High School student who is hoping to go on and study Science at University after she graduates. Amy loves working with kids and is passionate about teaching them to become the best swimmers!

COACH Arun

Coach Arun has hopes of being a High School teacher and carries his want and love of teaching to each of his classes. Arun has plans to go to University after his final year in Secondary School and continue to teach his students the importance of water safety.

Coach Ava is a High School student who wants to go on and study to become a lawyer or a teacher. Ava loves playing volleyball in her spare time. We are so happy to have her as part of the Swim Fins team.

Coach Beck

Coach Beck is a High School student at Lord Byng High School. Beck hopes to go to College or University after school to study Arts or Business. He plans to work with Swim Fins through the remainder of High School and University.

Coach Braden is currently a High School student who aspires to work in the medical field in the future. Coach Braden’s recent certificates in lifeguarding and teaching swimming will be put to good use as he ensures every student gets the best out of their classes!

Coach Brandon is a High School student and plans to study Mechanical Engineering in University! One of the things that stood out the most to Brandon about Swim Fins is that even 2 year olds are able to swim unassisted.

Coach Chandan is a high school student who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives while doing something that he loves! Chandan can’t wait to share his knowledge and skills with our students. We are so happy to have him as part of the Swim Fins family!

Coach Charis

Coach Charis is a student with a passion for helping and teaching children. Charis previously has worked as an assistant teacher in children's groups as well as reading to the younger children. These skills and attributes, as well as her in depth knowledge of water safety and swimming, have helped make Charis the great coach she is today!

Coach clarke

Coach Clarke has future aspirations to join the coach guard! Coach Clarke has experience teaching swimming to kids and he is excited to share his knowledge with the Swim Fins students!

Coach danika

Coach Danika has previously volunteered as an assistant swim instructor, and plans to be a part of our Swim Fins family for a long time! Coach Danika loves fitness and can’t wait to start teaching her students.

Coach Deion

Coach Deion is currently studying at SFU. He has lots of experience with children by babysitting, missions trips, as well as school. As well, he was a music tutor at his school multiple hours a week.

Coach Diya is a High School student who hopes to pursue a career in the medical field! Coach Diya loves working with kids and is so excited to start teaching her students. We are so excited to have Diya as part of our Swim Fins Family.

COACH ELLA

Coach Ella has volunteered and gained experience over the past 3 years working with young swimmers. She is now ready to take what she has learned and help her Swim Fins students to thrive in the water. Ella swims competitively and hopes to continue to teach and coach for many years to come.

COACH Elyse

Coach Elyse hopes to one day become a registered nurse! Her nurturing ways reflect in her classes towards her students. Elyse has gained all her accreditations and has been a great addition to the team! In her spare time Elyse volunteers with some of the children at her school.

Coach Gurshaan is going into his final year of high school and decided to join the Swim Fins family! Coach Gurshaan has worked in the food industry, but found his real passion as a swim coach. We can’t wait to watch Gurshaan grow throughout his teaching career.

Coach gayeon

Coach Gayeon is a very capable student in High School and is very successful in the IB Program. Gayeon hopes to continue her teaching role into the future as she wants to become a school teacher in either Math or Science. She knows the importance of coach/student relationships which is vital in her role here with Swim Fins!

Coach Gurleen

Coach Gurleen, a student in High School who completed her lifeguarding certifications before deciding that teaching swimming was the job for her! Gurleen, who has many hours experience in volunteering, is a motivated coach who knows how to get the best out of her classes!

Coach Harvey

Coach Harvey is currently a student at the University of British Columbia. He is fluent in 4 languages including English, Mandarin and Korean. Harvey is a member of Scouts Canada and is a cub counsellor for summer camps. Harvey is passionate about swimming and helping as many kids as possible learn to swim.

Coach Hunar is a high school student with a passion for swimming! Hunar is super excited to start teaching lessons and sharing her skills and knowledge. We are so happy to have Hunar as part of the Swim Fins family.

Coach Jasleen

Coach Jasleen attends Earlmeriot Secondary School and hopes to continue her education after school. Jasleen has put in numerous hours volunteering with swim teams. She really enjoys the gratification of teaching swimming to kids. 

Coach janey

Coach Janey is a university student who aspires to be a vet or a nurse in the future! She has previously worked as an Outdoor Educator and loves working with kids and aquatic environments. We’re so lucky to have Coach Janey as part of our team!

Coach Jaya

Coach Jaya is in High School and hopes to graduate and go on to study to become a mechanical engineer. She loves trying to solve problems. Jaya has great and plentiful knowledge of swimming and implements this in every class she teaches.

Coach Jeevan

Coach Jeevan is a WJ Mouat student who has plentiful experience in childcare. Jeevan has spent time assisting children with homework and entertainment. Her several hundred hours of work in childcare has taught Jeevan how to handle and care for kids and how to get the best out of them.

Coach Jaya previously worked as a head lifeguard, so water safety is her expertise! Jaya babysits in her free time and loves spending time with kids. We’re sure students will love learning from Jaya as much as she loves teaching them!

coach keon

Coach Keon is a very motivated member of our team! Keon is a student with aspirations of studying Business at University in the future! Keon is a water lover, as he was introduced to the water at just six months old! He previously attained all of his lifesaving and first aid certifications and has now completed his Swim Teaching Certification.

Coach Kieu-vy volunteered at her local pool last summer, and has decided to join the Swim Fins family! Coach Kieu-vy can’t wait to meet her new students and pass on her excellent swimming skills.

Coach Lena has a passion for teaching and is planning on getting her Early Childhood Education Certificate to become a teacher. Lena is also a youth leader to a group of young girls! Coach Lena is a great addition to Swim Fins and an amazing role model to all her students.

Coach Liam is currently a high school student who has a passion for swimming. He has taught swimming to kids previously and we are excited for him to bring his knowledge to his classes at Swim Fins.

Coach Mira is a High School student who is hoping to go on and study psychology! Mira is a natural at teaching kids. We can’t wait for Mira to put her swim qualifications to great use with the students!

coach nicole

Coach Nicole is a high school student who is aspiring to go to university and study psychology. Nicole is passionate about water safety and can’t wait to provide the best lessons possible to her students.

Coach Nico aspires to have a career as a band teacher. Coach Nico is excited to start teaching with Swim Fins as it will bring him some very valuable experience working with children and other instructors. We are very lucky to have him as part of our team!

Coach Nya is studying Kinesiology and hopes to become a teacher in the future. Nya loves kids and has a passion for teaching new skills while also making sure classes are fun! She is a great addition to our team.

Coach Noah has a passion for safe swimming, and we’re so excited that he’s kicking off his career here at Swim Fins! Coach Noah is an excellent addition to our family and he cannot wait to meet all his students!

COACH PATREECE

Coach Patreece has just finished high school and has big aspirations for the future as she hopes to study to be a doctor. Patreece loves to swim and wants to pass her passion and love for it on to others, she has previously volunteered at the YMCA teaching kids how to swim.

Patrick is a high school student who aspires to have a career in STEM. Patrick can’t wait to meet his students and have lots of fun while teaching.

Coach Rajmitt

Coach Rajmitt is an avid volunteer in his community. He has volunteered for the city of Delta as well as the Surrey school district teaching swimming lessons and other extracurricular activities. He loves to swim and has been doing it all his life. His dreams are to go to University and study Criminology in hopes of becoming a police officer.

Coach Ryan is a University student who has previous experience teaching Martial Arts. We can’t wait for Coach Ryan to educate our students. Welcome to the Swim Fins family, Coach Ruan!

Coach Rishi can’t wait to put his teaching skills to use with his new students. Coach Rishi recently got his National Lifeguard certificate! All his hard work will soon pay off when he is educating his students. He is a great addition to our team!

Coach Sahara

Coach Sahara is in her senior year of high school and hopes to study medicine at University next year. She is a keen basketball player and has represented her school at a provincial level. Sahara enjoys helping and working with others.

COACH SELINA

Coach Selina is currently enrolled in SFU and hopes to eventually get into medicine. Selina did competitive swimming for 6 years and assisted in coaching many practices. She loves working with kids, sharing her love and passion for swimming with them. We are glad to have her on the Swim Fins team.

Coach Simar aspires to be a lawyer when she graduates from University. Coach Simar is excited to get to know our trainers and mentors and gain some valuable insight from them. We are excited for Coach Simar to begin her journey with Swim Fins!

Coach Sekora is a high school student who hopes to further her education at UBC after graduation! We can’t wait to watch her grow and support her throughout her time at Swim Fins.

Coach Selma has previous experience as a swim coach and has a passion for teaching. We think she is the perfect fit for Swim Fins, and we’re sure her students will think the same.

Coach Thalia is a high school student with a passion for swimming. Thalia also has a passion for piano and has been playing since she was 4! She can’t wait to work closely with her students, passing on her swimming and water safety knowledge.

Coach Xeo has just graduated High School and has decided Swim Fins is the next step for him. Xeo has previously volunteered working with children and is excited to work closely with his students passing on all his swimming and water safety knowledge.

Coach Zoe is currently in her second year of her undergraduate degree at SFU studying Computer Science. Zoe has tutored kids in Maths and Science throughout highschool and has helped numerous students improve their skills and achieve their goals! Zoe is passionate about water safety and creating a positive learning environment.
