2. HOW OFTEN and at what times ARE SWIMMING CLASSES?
During our Summer Camps, students swim every day (Mon to Fri: 9:50am-8:30pm) for 2 weeks at the same time daily. We have 4 camps:
1. SESSION 1 Camp (Jun 30-Jul 11)
2. SESSION 2 Camp (Jul 14-25)
3. SESSION 3 Camp (Jul 28-Aug 8)
4. SESSION 4 Camp (Aug 11-22)
During our Summer Prep Program, students swim 1x per week on Saturday or Sunday for 7 weeks from 9:50am-7:00pm:
1. SATURDAYS (Jul 5-Aug 23)(No Aug 2) - WHITE ROCK ONLY
2. SUNDAYS (Jul 6-Aug 24)(No Aug 3) - ALL LOCATIONS
Lessons are usually 45 minutes.
3. DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE (1 ON 1) LESSONS?
We may offer private (1 on 1) lessons on a case by case basis. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson.
For children 4mo - 3yr 11mo: We may offer private lessons for this age group. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson.
For children 4 - 14yrs: We may offer private lessons for this age group. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson. We also offer small group lessons (maximum 5 students). That being said, click here to see why our group lessons work so well.
For swimmers 15yrs+: We may offer private lessons for this age group. Please email us at info@swimfins.ca to inquire about organizing a private lesson. We also offer small group lessons for swimmers aged 15 or older (meaning all swimmers in a lesson are 15yrs or older).
4. WHAT IF I WANT TO START LATE?
As our Summer programs are condensed, we are unable to have students join partway through the Summer Camps and the Summer Prep Program. The good news is that we have a new Summer Camp starting every two weeks so if you are unable to join an earlier camp, you can join a later camp.
5. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE FOR THE BEST RESULTS?
We encourage participants to complete two Summer Camps, or the Saturday or Sunday Summer Prep Program. We update our schedule often with new openings. Check back often.
6. What if my child is not 4 years or older?
If your child is not 4 years or older (or is not able to participate in group lessons due to separation anxiety, etc.) we suggest inquiring about a private lesson, or registering for our upcoming Fall session as we have Parent & Tot spots available Monday to Friday 8am to 3:00pm.
7. WILL THE LESSONS BE WITH OTHER STUDENTS AT THE SAME LEVEL?
Our classes are organized by times rather than swim skill level therefore there may be multiple levels in a class. That being said the coach will customize lesson plans for each swimmer. Best to register your children in the same class.
8. WHEN WILL I GET A CONFIRMATION OF MY REGISTRATION?
The schedule is subject to change and we will confirm your class time and process your payment within 1-3 business days after you registered.
9. I HAVE A CREDIT ON MY FILE, CAN I USE IT?
If you have a credit on file, the credit will automatically be applied to your total tuition fees before your credit card is charged.
10. DO THE FEES ON YOUR WEBSITE INCLUDE GST?
Tuition fees do not include GST. Please expect an additional 5% added when we charge your credit card.
11. CAN MY CHILD AND I BOTH LEARN TO SWIM WITHIN THE SAME CLASS?
Yes, if you are interested in a Family Lesson (whereby you and your children swim in the same class), three people minimum are needed for a Family Lesson during Summer, or you can pay to rent the entire pool.
12. MY CHILD IS SPECIAL NEEDS, CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE HIS OR HER NEEDS?
Yes, we just require that your child is capable of safely participating in group lessons without a parent. If your child requires a parent, we can explore a private lesson for the summer, or a Parent & Tot lesson for you in our upcoming Fall session.

13. WHAT DOES PRIORITY REGISTRATION MEAN?
All loyal (current & past) clients are given the opportunity to register for lessons during a Priority Registration period. This means that, as a loyal client, you get to register into lessons before it opens to the public.

14. How much do lessons cost?
The financial investment for lessons vary depending on the lesson duration (30 mins or 45 mins). Please note the financial investment up front with Swim Fins may be more than other programs however we do what other programs do in 3-4 years in 1 year so in the end you will have spent the same amount with them in 4 years that you would have spent with us in 1 year and have wasted a lot of time. Summary is, we will save you time (the most precious commodity) and of course money!
15. referral PROGRAM: GIVE $50, GET $50
Help us Spread the Word about the Swim Fins Swim School experience and both of you will benefit! For each new swimmer you refer, they'll get $50 off their first session and you'll earn a $50 credit towards your next session. It's a win-win for everyone. Learn more.
